Reviewers Notes: Specials: Spots: West BAS Delta 10 No Weapon Select at briefing Clean Sweep Mission Respawn Seagull Review: I have reviewed an almost exact mission clone of this before, but damned if I can find the link. That mission was done by a Japanese mission maker, and despite being core units, was better than this one. You start at a Delta Camp in the middle of Everon, and must traverse the "Valley of Missions" on your way to Saint Pierre. The author has given you 10 players, and bout 4 TOW and 4xMG hummers vs a heap of Spetznaz and one or two RPG soldiers and some BMD's. There is no respawn side, so bad luck if you havent got the player numbers to see this one out. (I reckon you need 4 to make it enjoyable) The mission has an ending once you have either cleared all 3 towns OR all died...but a word of warning...the end requires ALL towns to be cleared, with no objective tick offs along the way. This really hurts the feel of this mission, and means you must dilligently clear everything, even backing over covered territory when all seems destroyed but no win is credited. Very annoying.. There are some specific addons to use, and it is the opinion of this reviewer that the downloads do not add anything to the mission other than something else to look at. I would be hard pressed to find a unit detachment out there where Spetz would be used to defend towns!! Thats the job of regulars! And sure the BAS units are nice to use, but it would be nicer if there was a little more polish to this mission. Reviewed by Vortrog vortrog@opflashpoint.org |
